Landscaping a yard yet?
We're trying to choose between 2 houses to buy and the main factor in which love is gardening. The lot is 1 acre, but very low slope. The builder put a large deck in the back with no access to land (because it is a significant slope. Does anyone have any idea on the landscape like a sloping yard? I saw a house that was added under the current lower deck to use the space and seen some neat where they built almost like steps and filled with flowers. I would not want an acre full of nothing behind my house! is steep, but not so bad you could not use a mower. You can not build a Instead of a pool or swing though …
We live in a sloping property and the use of a series of terraces, stairways and retaining walls to create different rooms outdoors. We have a dining room with kitchenette, a living room with sofa and chairs, occasional tables. And we have several "rest areas" to enjoy the sights, plants, gardens and fountains. We made most of us out of stone pavers that look (called stone castle) and planted different types of gardens around each area. They found rapid growth and flowering stops the erosion of ground cover and helps maintain soil moisture while blocking weeds. You can find all sorts of ideas in the HGTV and Sunset websites, but we found a great book by Sunset outdoor creation living spaces in the Lowes that had great ideas, project lists, bills of materials supply and calculators, etc.
