Real Estate – Home Improvements for more green in your pocket
The hot days of summer are once again upon us. Increasing humidity, swimming water hot pool, and air conditioners whirrr. Whether inside or beside the pool, start digging through some gardening magazines. Enhance your yard, improve the value of your home.
If you have lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, you have witnessed the spectacular display of color Azael's, cherry wild Crepe myrtles, tulips, daffodils, Maples and Poplars … from the ground to the sky, our region offers a magnificent explosion of colors each season.
You can create this. It is expensive and not difficult. You might think it's actually a good form of therapy! Peace from the patio, and a strong sense of accomplishment.
The landscaping and planting are great fall activities in Charlotte. The reason for this is that if you plant in the fall, falling easy time winter and light your plants will grow well with little or no childcare. You will reap multiple rewards of planning your summer. Plant your garden in spring.
A word of warning: if you plant grass, bulbs, shrubs or trees in the spring (rather than the fall) Baby-sitting will be in your yard all spring. Summer will be here before you know it, and if plants are not well established, you can lose to heat.
Improving their homes curb appeal works for all market areas … and not only our Charlotte real estate market. If you have bought a house with a garden sad, or perhaps new construction or a tree, creating a garden is a great way to help improve their future homes, marketing and therefore asset. If your home is attractive in the outer courtyard (included) and inside, do not sit on the market, provided that a house with a courtyard of ill will. Really.
Create your yard is three-dimensional act.
Jot down a plan on paper and play with the plan as if arranging a room in their house. The plants are the furniture: the courtyard is the room.
Continue on paper, add some nice details at: stairs, a place for the grill, where the furniture is was.
Start a notebook of plants you like. Take a look at an upscale neighborhood entryways, and public gardens, nurseries local plants. There is nothing so strong as a visual confirmation of what I had in mind. Note the different shades of green trees and shrubs come in and how many seasons a plant can do for you. Many of the plants in Charlotte can bring you three seasons of color! Remember, once planted, these things grow and out. Space accordingly. Follow the instructions.
Curb appeal should not be relegated to the courtyard just in front.
Take pictures of your garden in the morning and afternoon. Thus, if you are not sure how to do a plant in your garden, you can always discuss your situation and ability to adapt to the nursery local. The Charlotte clay soil is rich in minerals and as modified, things that you can grow here are almost limitless. The time to plant and yard work on improvements next year is in the fall.
It takes a weekend to paint a room in their house. This is fine. But the painting to a new buyer is something we plan to do anyway. It will improve the future marketing of your home as a patio of goodwill. It takes time to develop your yard. My suggestion … begin to educate themselves about landscaping this summer, and begin the backyard this fall!
