In 2007, 61 U.S. universities offered 79 undergraduate and graduate programs in landscape architecture that have been accredited by the Landscape Architecture Board of Accreditation of the American Society of Architects Landscape Architects (ASLA).

Home work with architects, surveyors, engineers and contractors, landscape architects help determine the best arrangement of the elements of the property. In the preliminary stages, landscape architects first study of the whole project. They believe that the owner wants and needs and the available budget.
